iPhone Tracker Card Manual

Set it up in about 5 minutes, then find your wallet with the Apple Find My app on your iPhone.

Before you start

Power

  • On: press once, you hear a chime
  • Off: hold 3 seconds, you hear two beeps
  • Check: a short press gives a beep when it is working

Your phone

  • Latest iOS, iPadOS or macOS
  • Find My app, already on your iPhone

Battery

  • Charge fully before first use: 60 to 120 min
  • Red light while charging, white when full
  • Battery level shows in Find My

Connect to Find My

  1. Open the Find My app
  2. Press the card's button to switch it on
  3. Go to Items → Add Item → Other Item
  4. Tap Connect next to Smart Finder Card
  5. Name it, then tap Continue and Finish

Card not in the list, or no chime when you press the button? Reset the card (Step 4) and try again.

Find your wallet

Nearby

Tap your card in Find My, then Play Sound.

Far away

See its last location on the map and tap Directions.

Lost

Turn on Notify When Left Behind to get an alert when you walk away from it.

Remove the card

  1. Open Find My → Items → your card
  2. Scroll down, tap Remove Item and confirm
  3. The card is ready for a new iPhone

Reset the card

Fixes most connection problems.

  1. If it is listed in Find My, remove it first (Step 3)
  2. Switch the card on and wait for the chime
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Press 5 times, hold the 5th press until the chime

Keep a steady rhythm, not too fast or slow. Did not work? Wait 20 seconds and try again.

Two beeps mean the card switched off, not reset. Only the chime means it worked.

Quick fixes

Not connecting or not showing up? Try these in order.

  1. Update your iPhone
  2. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Location Services and Find My on
  3. Charge the card
  4. Restart your iPhone
  5. Reset the card
The card does not charge

Use a single Qi pad and place the card off-centre, left side over the middle of the pad. Watch chargers, dual pads and 3-in-1 stands often do not work.

The location is not updating

That is normal for short moves. To save battery, the map updates every few minutes through nearby Apple devices, so busy places update faster. Test it at a supermarket and check again after a few minutes.

The card does not show up in Add Item

Check that Bluetooth is on and the card is charged, then press its button so it wakes up. Still missing? Reset the card (Step 4). If it was set up on someone else's Apple ID, it must be removed from their Find My first.
